Massachusetts Dream Wedding Venues

These are my Massachusetts dream wedding venues. I did a post a few weeks ago about my Connecticut Dream Wedding Venues and I wanted to do a MA edition. There are several venues I’ve photographed at, but so many I have not.

The advantage to the Massachusetts edition is that I know these a little better. A few I have been to, a few I have not. I will try to focus on the top 5, in no particular order.

#1 Tower Hill Botanic Garden, Boylston, MA

I’ve loved this place from afar for awhile. When I lived in Clinton, MA, I finally got the chance to visit and fell in love. When I used to work as an assistant photographer, I got to see images of a wedding here and it was BEAUTIFUL. I had wished for a long time to get to shoot here and I finally got to last year for a senior session. The grounds are beautiful. They have lush gardens, a gorgeous fountain, sculptures, and more. The receptions seem to take place in almost a greenhouse style room, so the ceiling and everything is see through. I love everything about this as a venue and just a great place to visit.

#2 Popponssett Inn, Mashpee, MA

This is another venue I’ve had my sights on for awhile. This one dates back to my photography internship. I always dreamed of a beach wedding (a dream I had to compromise haha) and the Popponssett Inn always felt like a perfect beach venue. The reception area seems to overlook the shore and provide such a unique wedding experience. Anyone who dreams of the perfect beach wedding should look no further. I’ve never gotten the chance to make it out there, but I’d love to be able to shoot a wedding there someday!

#3 The Crane Estate/Crane’s Beach, Ipswich, MA

I know this list is all about dream locations, but seriously, this might be my very favorite place in Massachusetts.  Crane’s Beach is my favorite beach and it’s surrounded by the most gorgeous scenery. It has long stretches of beach and turns in ways that provides a lot of different looking areas. To my knowledge, it is possible to get married on the beach, but I’m not entirely sure how that works. To top it off, the Crane Estate stands high above the beach and you can get married on the grass overlooking the ocean. How perfect is that? I’m photographing an engagement session here this summer and I could not be more excited for it (pardon my EXTREMELY old pictures. New ones coming this summer)!

#4 New England Aquarium

It’s no secret I love the ocean and sea creatures. I also named an aquarium in my CT Dream Venue post. I’m dying to do some kind of  aquarium wedding. That would be so amazing. I looked into the New England Aquarium for my own wedding (again, compromised…) and LOVED the reception options. You can have the reception on the harbor or near the tanks. Both sound equally amazing to me and I’m not sure what I would end up choosing, if I had to. This would make for such an amazing and unique wedding. What could be better than a wedding on the harbor in Boston? Seriously.

#5 The Harding Allen Estate, Barre, MA

Admittedly, I’m super biased by this choice. This is where I got married and I’m in love with the look of the estate for a wedding. It’s designed to look like a Newport Mansion and is surrounded by gorgeous gardens. Having had my own wedding there, I would super love to photograph here. I feel like it would just make my life feel full circle haha. It’s a truly gorgeous venue and made us feel like our wedding was unique. Inside, each room is carefully curated and so lovely.

These have been my Massachusetts Dream Wedding Venues for 2017. I hope to be able to keep updating these lists each year. Hopefully, this will lead to me crossing Massachusetts dream wedding venues off my wedding venue bucket list.
