Hampden, MA Backyard Wedding – B + K
I know I always talk about how excited I am to share things, but this Hampden, MA backyard wedding is really special to me. Being a photographer, I’m often asked to do things for family and sometimes it’s hard. This was not hard. This is a love story that’s been happening on for some time and I’m honored to be the one who captured it.
This is my cousin Bernardina and her (now) husband, Kevin. Kevin has been in our lives for a long time now and in a lot of ways was always part of the family. They’ve waited for their moment and it finally came in the middle of August.
Apart from the catering, they took care of everything themselves. The whole wedding was DIY and so cute! Their personalities shined through every detail. Kevin is a big Star Wars fan and they had evidence of that in the details.
The party expanded into the yard with lawn games. Kevin is an excellent musician and his band even performed a couple songs (with Yoda looking on). A bunch of my family had jobs to do. We all took them very seriously!
All in all, it was an amazing day. You really couldn’t ask for a more loving and family-filled day.
