Should you include getting ready photos in your wedding photography package?
Every now and then couples opt to skip the getting ready photos. To me, this is a mistake. Investing in wedding photography is investing in memories. Why would you want to miss out on moments with your inner circle? Here are a few reasons to set aside some time for them.
#1 Details Matter
During getting ready time, I like to take some time and capture special details. It gives me time to get the shoes, jewelry, dresses, invitations, and any other important touches. Details are some the most treasured shots from the whole day. Without getting ready photos, how will you hope to capture them?
#2 Your Inner Circle
Your wedding party and the people you choose to get ready with are the people who are closest to you. You share drinks, stories, and sometimes makeup. A lot of people are photographed during dancing and other time, but you can’t always guarantee that your favorite people will be the ones in the spotlight. Getting ready photos ensure that they are. There are also emotional moments that crop up during this time and you’ll love having a record of that.
#3 Capture the Full Scope of Your Day
Photographers are storytellers and it’s important to capture the full picture (no pun intended) of your day. In the album, capturing these moments will help the flow of time and create some touching moments before the festivities.
When you’re going through your album years from now, you’ll cherish the moments and laughter that came right before you walked down the aisle.
