Fall Boston Engagement Session – Zach + Gabby
So excited to share my brother and soon to be sister-in-law’s fall Boston engagement session! I love being able to capture these special moments!
We wanted to get some fall engagement photos and it looked like leaves were turning early, but as the session got closer, it didn’t look like much had changed. Even if we weren’t able to get a lot of leaves, we went at dusk and had amazing light. It was a cool, but beautiful day. We started at Jamaica Pond where lots of people were milling around. There were a lot of pretty spots, including a great archway and boats! Zach and Gabby met and live in Jamaica Plain, so a lot of the spots they chose were special. \

After the pond, we made our way to the Arnold Arboretum down the street. This is a part of the area I’ve never explored, but it was beautiful! They wanted to see if we could find a hill to see the skyline. We were able to see it from one spot, but not super clear. We were running out of light so we settled on that spot and got some really gorgeous use of the setting sun.
I had a lot of fun trying to get the skyline in the photo. I think it resulted in some really fun shots.
On our way back down, we found a garden with an amazing archway. And right at the end, a bush with pretty red leaves. In the end, we got a touch of fall in their photos.
For as close as we are to the city, I rarely get the opportunity to photograph out there. I loved a new perspective on a place I love and know so well.
Fortunate the weather lucked out for us and I got to celebrate their engagement with them. Can’t wait for the wedding in July!
