No one needs reminding that 2020 was a rough year (I think all my posts have started off this way). Wedding couples were hit hard – especially the ones that were postponed to a time that still didn’t allow for the day they envisioned. Madison + Matt are one of those couples. Luckily, I got to spend some time with them in 2019 doing their engagement photos and in 2020 capturing their new family at home. I’m grateful for such amazing clients.

Madison + Matt eloped and ended up canceling their party plans. In the fall, I came out to their new house with all their pets. We got some new family photos with all their furry family members. Ainsley was the newest addition to their home. We started the session doing photos just outside with her and the house. Then, we moved inside to include Bucky + Steve as well (those names – these really are my people)!

While I’m sad we won’t get to celebrate their wedding together, I’m happy I got to be a part of this coming together. The extra time to get to know couples has been a gift. Building lasting connections as well as friendships.
