Boston Public Garden Engagement Session – Alaina + Macey
Boston Public Garden Engagement Session – Alaina + Macey
I met Alaina online several months ago and photographed their Boston Public Garden Engagement Session on a beautiful day in May. Since the weather in May has been so back and forth, I was sure we’d need to reschedule. As I drove towards Boston that day, the weather cleared and even though it was a little chilly, as we moved around the gardens, it really was a nice day.
For Alaina + Macey, Boston Public Gardens was a meaningful spot. They frequented the park multiple times a year and shared a love for nature and reading inside it. I love shooting in locations that are meaningful to the couple and they were truly in their element here.
So many trees and flowers were in bloom. We started and ended at the bridge and wound our way around the trees and tulips. Along the way we discussed our mutual love of Harry Potter and their beautiful relationship together.
Alaina + Macey met in high school and their relationship blossomed through the years. They have a love and intimacy that’s apparent and I loved capturing that in photos. In so many of the photos they made each other laugh and that was a joy to catch every time.
When we wound our way back to the bridge, we incorporated some books they brought along. Alaina + Macey share a love for reading and wanted to pay tribute to that in their photos. These were some of my very favorites from the session.
All in all, it was a lot of fun. I’m so thankful they let me document their genuine love story.
