7 Favorite Images of 2017
I thought it would be fun to look back on my 7 favorite images of 2017. I love every session or wedding I get to be apart of, but every now and then, I feel like I really nailed it, you know? This feels like a fun exercise for the new year. Did you have a favorite from this year?
I had a lot of sessions I enjoyed last year. Each one brought a new joy, excitement, and growth that I wasn’t anticipating.

I had the opportunity this past year to collaborate on a magazine that was local to CT. The Perpetual You is for women, by women, and I had the privilege of creating a lot of visual content (both photos and illustrations). One of my favorite experiences was traveling to NYC to photograph a makeup artist, Rebecca Casciano. It was so much fun. See more from this session here.

I had a number of wonderful weddings this year, but I loved this one of Dani and Joe at the Old Mill. They looked so lovely and natural in the tall trees. Dani’s dress was a vintage dream and they looked amazing! See more from Dani & Joe’s session here.

2017 was a year of Seniors. All my Seniors were amazing. Kiley had one of my favorite sessions the whole year. I struggled between this image and another of Kiley’s that everyone was really excited about (and made her look like a fragrance model), but in the end, I think this image has a little more emotion to it. I feel like you can feel the music in this one. Check out Kiley’s session here.

Morgan’s session was also so much fun. We had a mild weather day and the lighting was perfect. This is my favorite part of the session. We were walking back to the car when I spotted the light through the trees and had to take a few more photos of Morgan. I love these so much and I think it shows how fun-loving and care-free Morgan is. You can see more from Morgan’s session here.

I was lucky enough to photograph Mel & Laurie’s wedding which was decorated in such an amazing way. Their ceremony had this gorgeous arch that Laurie and her father created for her special day. It created a wonderful background for our couple, formal, and ceremony photos. It allowed me to create this photograph, which is definitely one of my very favorites. You can find more from their wedding here.

Engagement sessions were WONDERFUL this year. All my couples picked the prettiest locations. I love this flower bridge in Simsbury that Lauren and Patrick picked and their photos were so cute. You can see how emotional and connected these two are. Can’t wait to try some first look photos in this same spot in a few months!

My favorite photo of 2017. The lighting was gorgeous and Rhiannon and Daniel were adorable. They were so sweet and we had a wonderful time getting to know each other. The Rose Garden at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford was also a gorgeous location. I would love to go during a time when the roses are in season. See more from Rhiannon and Dan’s session here! Another wedding I’m very much looking forward to this year.
